Established in 2009, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has been successful in nurturing experts through sound academic support and commitment to research. The teaching resources, dedicated staff, sophisticated laboratories and library, efficiently meet the requirements of undergraduate and post graduate students here. The annual intake is 30 for under graduate students and 18 for post graduate students. The program also entertains a lateral entry for Diploma holders as per AICTE norms in the 3rd semester.

” Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of KMEA Engineering College is one of the best EEE department among the colleges in Ernakulam District, with an infrastructure at par with all government colleges in Kerala.

We are accredited by NBA and NAAC.

Our EEE students have established a name in the society. They are guided to  be responsible citizens  and positive Electrical Engineers contributing to the development of the nation, by an efficient team of Faculty, who are products of prestigious Institutions in and outside Kerala.

Any student who loves Mathematics and Physics can study EEE with ease. After completing B Tech in EEE, a student can pursue higher studies in M Tech, MBA, IES, etc. If interested in being an entreprenuer, he/she can start a service Industry, repairing, reconditioning, rewinding Electrical Machines too.

Every Industry needs an Electrical Engineer. This core branch of Engineering has job opportunities all over the country and abroad. More than 30 Government companies in India directly absorb our EEE students considering their GATE Score. Our  Alumni is spread all over the world, working in reputed positions in well known organizations in India and abroad. EEE is one of the most beautiful Mother branches of Engineering. “

Electrical and electronics Engineering graduates will be able to:

  • PSO 1 : Apply fundamental knowledge to identify, design and investigate various problems of electrical and electronic systems in the industry.
       
  • PSO 2 : Apply electrical and electronic principles in the design and development of socially beneficial projects.
       
  • PSO 3 : Apply knowledge of power systems and electrical machines to electrical generation, transmission, distribution and utilization systems.
  • PEO 1 : To prepare students with the ability to develop better solutions for problems related to Electrical and Electronics Engineering in industry and society.
       
  • PEO 2 : To inculcate in students professional ethics, effective communication skills, social commitment, ability to work in a team enabling them to have successful careers in diverse cultural and interdisciplinary backgrounds.
       
  • PEO 3 : To help students recognize the need to pursue higher studies and to adapt positively to ever changing working conditions with lifelong learning.

To mould students in professional carrier and/or post graduate programmes by providing solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals. To inculcate professional and ethical attitude, team work and communication skills, multidisciplinary approach and an ability to relate electrical engineering issues to broader social context. To instill self-confidence and leadership qualities to become innovative engineers and entrepreneurs, with an enthusiasm for lifelong learning.
