Dr. Rekha Lakshmanan is currently acting as Vice Principal, KMEA Engineering College, Edathala. She started her career as lecturer in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at KMEA Engineering College, Edathala in 2003. Since June 2016, she was the Professor and Head of the department. She did her B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Cochin University of Science and Technology and M. Tech in Digital Image Computing from Computer Science Department, Kerala University Karyavattom. She took her Ph. D in Image Processing from Govt. Model Engineering College, Thrikkakara.

She presented various papers in National and International conferences. She has got more than 16 research publications in various reputed national and International journals. In the year 2014, she received “Best Presentation Award”, in an international conference, ICAIP, Thailand. She banged “Best paper” award in a national conference, NCEVEM’14 in 2014.
