BRIDGIT – Bridge Modelling
BRIDGIT is an engaging and competitive structural design event conducted as part of KAPRICIOUS 2026,by the Department of Civil Engineering, aimed at testing participants’ creativity, precision, and engineering skills. The event will be held on 27th March from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
In this challenge, teams are required to design and construct a truss bridge model using only the materials provided by the organizers within the given time limit. The bridge must meet the specified dimensional requirements while ensuring strength, stability, and efficiency.
Participants will apply key concepts of structural engineering such as load distribution, tension and compression, and truss behavior. The models will be evaluated based on their load-carrying capacity, structural performance, and overall appearance.
BRIDGIT offers a platform for aspiring engineers to showcase their design thinking and practical skills in a real-world context.
Step in, build strong, and bridge the gap between theory and practice!
